Hi there,

I just migrated from LS 2.0.7 to AC 2.1.0 and got hit by the following issue:
My Creative Labs (CT6840) with its Video Blaster Webcam 3 (WDM) driver was working on LS 2.0.7.

But when launching AC 2.1.0 with the LS 2.0.7 configuration the splash screen tells it is waiting for the cam to start and after a while the messages on the console say:
3 times within 3 minutes: Cam Video Blaster WebCam 3 (WDM)-1 many errors while frame capturing...
Afterward: Deactivating Video Blaster WebCam 3 (WDM)-1, too many errors...
And finally activity goes down quite logically:
No Device active
Stop Local Save timer
Stop FTP Upload timer

I tried to use another drive; WebCam Plus (VFW) and it works quite fine as shown bellow:
Adding Video Blaster WebCam 3/WebCam Plus (VFW)-1
One Device active
Start Local Save timer Video Blaster WebCam 3/WebCam Plus (VFW)-1
Start FTP Upload timer Video Blaster WebCam 3/WebCam Plus (VFW)-1

I then tried to remove the working driver and add back the failing one. It still fails exactly the same way: Keeps me waiting as if AbelCam was not reponding. Then around 3 minutes later the same message on the console.

I have only removed LS 2.0.7 and installed AC 2.1.0. There has been no other changes on my config. I tried unplug plug back the USB cam as well as restarting Win XP without success.
Any idea what has changed in the application?

Thanks. - Franck

Hi all,

I digged a bit more in the configuration files and it looks like the directory with the config files was at the wrong place in the tree. I moved it and also deleted the old LS 2.0.7 config file tree. It then started to work properly.

Case closed. Have a good evening.
