I think it looks nice - now that I've gotten used to it.

I've seen one small bug: in the rotating "Opinions" there is one that breaks the lefthand column. On the old version the column would expand (which was annoying). Now it breaks the margin. The problem is that there's one comment that contains this text: "size-function-extendable-affordable" Wider than the column, no place to break. My suggestion is leave the style sheet alone and edit this comment with spaces or something, so that the CSS processor can line-break properly.
