Hi. Melvin. The Foscam FI8908W is a “hot deal” on Ebay right now for a PTZ cam. about 70 USD.
Product page: http://www.foscam.com/Products_List.asp?id=128
I found in a forum about to control the IP FI8908W but I don´t know if it can be used in Abelcam. Hope you can tell.

Since today is the first time I ever heard of this cam, I have no opinion about how good it may be.
I looked at your Forum link and also checked over at the Zoneminder project's forums. I see that all the reverse engineering has been done and documented, which makes it simple for you to set it up in AbelCam as a "custom" IPPTZ device.
The biggest deficiency I see it that this cam's PTZ does not support Absolute (Go To x,y coodinates) positioning. It only supports Incremental (eg. Go Left 5 degrees). I don't like that because it means having to use "stepped" mode in (current version of) AbelCam. My TrendNet cam has this same problem. SSE and I have been talking about this - in some future release he's probably going to start supporting non-stepped operation on Incremental-only cams.

I now get the PTZ cam but unfortunate I can´t implement properly in the PTZ control in Abelcam. I then make a controls script and implement in the java index page and this work OK. My problem now that it shows the controls in general and not only for PTZ cam´s. I´m not the big programmer but have you an idea to a simple solution to show and no show depends the CAM have PTZ or not. Also because I like to have more than one PTZ.
Please see my html page with script here if any suggestion. http://phuketcam.dyndns.org:5500/java/index.html?cam=4
