Today the 20'000th AbelCam user enrolled.

Five years ago AbelCam was released to the public.
This means that every day since its launch more than 10 users
registered their copy of AbelCam with this site.

I was criticized a lot for the free license policy which requires registration
with full name and email address in order to receive the free license.
Every day, 150-300 people download AbelCam.

This licensing policy has allowed the user and license database maintenance
to be carried out with little effort.
Thanks to great tools like MySQL and Perl the administrative work has been
kept to a minimum, leaving time for the development of the application.
