It needs to determine if the recording is running before displaying the Start/Stop value
Of course! It's even supposed to do that while you're just looking at the form, as you could start/stop video recording at the same time using the Web Admin Interface.
Probably somewhere there's a gap in this 'status checking' - I will check this out on Monday.
