Does a Skype Interface make sense?

There's a API (application programming interface) for Skype. This allows me to integrate some of Skypes functionality in LogiSphere.
What do you think about that?
What features would you like to see?

What would be the benefit?
I am afraid it will make it a resource hog, without any real benefits over seperatly running Skype?
What is the biggest advantage?

Well, I use skype with video4skype (spontania) and it works good. Having logisphere combined with skype, in what way ever, sounds interesting. By now i do like every feature in logisphere.
Have to think about in what way, and do not really know what is technically possible, but i am sure it would be nice.

Hi sse I use Skype so i think it would be cool to have skype put into the cool software that you made and ps keep up the good work

I have never use spype. So maybe msn or ICQ could be use (don't know if they have API).There is software from eyespyfx I tried. It and didn't work for the people I was chatting just made them mad. So maybe it's not that simply. If something was made for spype I would switch.
Besides logisphere is so good already

come on guys - I need proposals like
"I want to have my skype status on the cam page"
think of something that would be useful, not just "Skype support would be nice"...

I downloaded skype and it's a great bit of kit.When you go on the skype website it says hello then my user name.So if the skype's website can work it out, maybe logisphere can.So logisphere comes up some where saying
user:however from:UK Is on your site would you like to:
1)chat
2)call
3)do nothing
if they pick 1 or 2
then on the user pc a popup comes up saying
'Hi would you like to chat with me i run this webcam'
then the user can select
yes
no thanks
Yes will open a chat with person runing the cam
hope this makes sense
