No Web streaming....
By: NatashaB Rank: Newbie Topics: 0 From: n/a	Added: 06/10/2007 - 11:36 PM Ok all you clever people I've spent way too much time trying to set up the most simple of all: 1 logitec messenger cam just doing live streaming. That's all... Now, I've got a bt voyager 2100 router, have spend too much money on phoning BT helpline and they claim that my port forwarding is set up the right way. When checking on ShieldsUP, the port is open - I can see the cam on local server (192.168.1.2:8080) but when trying to access it via anonymous proxy on internet IP address, I get my router admin Surely, this must be a router problem? As I normally don't give up, I have tried different cam software like webcamXP, coffeecup, WMS to name a few...I do like AbelCam and will upgrade to pro IF ONLY I CAN GET THIS B***Y WEBCAM TO STREAM ON THE WEB Any suggestions? By: MelvinG Rank: Magna Cum Laude Topics: 661 From: Los Angeles, USA	Added: 06/11/2007 - 12:57 AM A couple thoughts, but nothing really profound... 1) Instead of using a proxy for your outside test, check the redirector page: http://www.multicamserver.com/en/membersonly/redirector and see if your cam is showing up there. If it is, something is wrong with the proxy you are using. Oh, and make sure the External Port setting in AbelCam Server config is set to match whatever your forwarded outside port number is - so the redirector knows where to look. 2) If you are using 80 or 8080 for your ouside port, change it to something odd like 9191 or something. ISPs and routers have issues with 80 and 8080 sometimes.
