This problem started in the last few days. I am using an old camcorder connected thru a DVC 80 capture device, usb input. Windows 2000 SP4 Abelcam 2.2.1. Does anyone have an idea where I should look for the problem. I have deactivated the video capture, in case it was the problem, but it continues to deactivate. Here is a copy of the recent log file:

Hello Bob

AbelCam is deactivating the capture device because there was no fresh frame for more than seven seconds.
Maybe you have installed/running some other software which prevents processing?

Do you have another capture device you could use to test?

Bob,

the latest release has configurable Parameters for how long the system waits and how many error messages will be displayed before deactivating a camera.

Sorry all ... Boy do I feel stupid, I connected the cam to another computer on my network, and did not remember I had to change the address that was ported thru my router. Hope this info helps someone else. It always seems to be the obvious that we overlook. Thanks for trying BIGolBOB
