Starting as service not possible

Hi there,
am in trouble installing AbelCam 2.2.2 on a XP machine.
AbelCam was installed before on another machine, I just moved it to another one which runs 24/7.
Should start as service, which usually shouldnt be the prob. It used to work on the old machine at least.
When I start the service now I cant connect to AbelCam Webserver. Configuration is exactly the same as it was on the pc before.
If I go to the AbelService.log it says
StartServiceCtrlDispatcher failed, error code = 1063
Funny thing btw is: If I stop the service and start AbelCam manually it works fine.
I can connect to the webserver then, get a fluent image.
There is just one tab that opens immediately after starting AbelCam which says: The last start at xx:xx caused trouble. Do you want to start configured webcams.
Hope someone nows something about that.

Change in AbelService.ini:
UserInterface = Yes and you might be able to see what is the problem. |

Thanks a lot.
If I change the ini to that the service is working IF I am logged in with my admin user account.
If I am not logged in the service still cant start.
If I start the service with UserInterface while being logged in and then change the settings to no user interface and restart the service it wont work with the second try.
Maybe the trouble is because of my webcam?
I use LogiLink WC0002. So I added a webcam, the path for the picture ist http://ip-adresse/snapshot.jpg
I also configured the user and password. If I go to config after saving again the user and password wont show up. Still, If the service is started as said before AbelCam will work.
Maybe thats the problem?

Hi again,
as I got no answer yet, a little "push"...
Anyone got anything? Would be really thankful as I want to survey an area with 4 cams. As Im already stuck with the first one its a little bit annoying.
If you guys need any log or config files: No prob, just give me a short hint.

Hi again,
sorry having bothered you so much. Dont know why, but it works now. Going to buy 2 more licenses now 
What Ive done: Really, no clue.
First I deleted all the spaces in the end of the lines of the abelservice.ini.
Then I configured the server-admin and restarted the machine. After waiting 10 minutes I could access the standard AbelCam Site and also the admin page.
Then I deactivated the server-admin and it still works.
Well, fine with me. Can be set to solved now... |
