Abelcam replies that it dosen't have enough licenses available, yet there are 2 licenses properly listed in the licenses area.
What am I missing? Although the second camera (identical to my first Logitech)is recognized, I can't activate it. Abelcam replies that it dosen't have enough licenses available, yet there are 2 licenses properly listed in the licenses area.
I did start off with only one camera (with a listing of 2 licenses) and then tried to add the 2nd camera a few days later.
What am I missing?

"What am i missing?"
Probably missing a carriage return after the last license in the list. 99% of the time this question comes up, that is the reason.

Properly listed?
Please see the help page on that subject.
The About Screen shows the number of cameras licensed.

""What am i missing?"
Checked out the format, all correct (carriage returns and all)
The About Screen shows the number of cameras licensed.
The about screen shows me 2 cameras recognized but the second cam is listed as "inactive":
"13:41:12 Started webserver on port 8080
13:41:24 add device USB Video Device-1
13:41:24 add device USB Video Device-2"
When I check "licenses.txt", it shows only one license
Wondered whether the "License ID:1348" might have me linked to only one license.

Hello Daniel
the file license.txt always only contains one license. The camera licenses are stored in camlicense.txt
I wonder if you started the 2nd camera at all? If you did - what does the message screen say about it?

Both cameras (they are the same model)are recognized and "about" reports the frames captured by the first camera, but reports that for camera 2 "TyCapture inactive".
If I then select the second camera and click on "Cam" to switch the camera on, it reports "No more camera licenses available"

Upper right corner of the About screen... what does it say?? Look for some text that is like this (but with real info of course):
AbelCam 3.2.2 Pro
licensed to Your Realname
X Cameras licensed
What is the value of "X" in the last line??

It says:

licensed to My Name
No comment about licenses appears below my name

Okay, that narrows it down some. Means it's a "does not recognize license" problem rather than some other sort of problem. All I can really add at this point is that I think only SSE is going to be able to solve this one so send him the config data he requested as soon as you can...

I have received the configuration - the problem is now clear:
Daniel has two AbelCam Pro keys and no camera license.
Both keys were entered correctly in the camera license entry field,
but as they are not camera keys they were not accepted for the 2nd camera.
