Hi,
Local USB. good short USB cables.
Been using other logitech webcams etc with able cam, bought a Genuis wide angle HD 1080p to get better viewing angles.
Ablecam only offers 320x or 640x resolution.
I can get at the source config to change brighness etc.
The genius is using windows own webcam driver which is a dissapointment but it seems it is the only one available.
Windows 8 but same situation on Win7 PC.
Arcsoft Cam Companion that comes with the camera has & can use up to the high res & the picture is clearly higher resoultion than the 640x480
It these any way I can get ablecam to serve the full spec.

You might want to try using VisioForge instead of TyCapture as the interface for this camera. If you try that I'd appreciate it if you'd post the results here in this thread.
I know that TyCapture offers you all the resolutions that the cam's driver "advertises" via a DirectShow interface. VisioForge may work differently - I don't know for sure.
