I wanted to increse the videoresolution, but ran into some problems, if i change to 640x480 rgb or i430 (video input and output) LogiSphere.exe comsumes 60% cpu, and if i change to 1024 it will use 100% and then hang . and this is without localsave/ftp/webserver active.
i have a QuickCam Sphere, and using the latest drivers from logitech, machine is a 3.6ghz intel box.
also, on the builtin webserver the imagesize stays 320x240

What framerates are you using?
To use bigger resolutions on the web pages, you need to change the html code.

btw, tryed the debug mode, only thing that looked wrong was a few 'cam not ready' when changing resolution. but i can e-mail the debug file if needed..

10:01:43 picture refresh failed, cam not ready? Error 6 while copying bitmap VIDEOC~1

Set the frame rate to 1fps and see how big (kb) the image is.
Now do a calculation image size x fps x 8 (to receive bits per second) and compare it with
your internet connection (upload speed). You'll find out that you won't be able to stream big resolutions at high frame rates.
If you want to run high resolutions, keep the frame rate low and use the video server / WMV to stream higher frame rates.

Filesize=48kb*15*8 = 5760kbit, internetuploadspeed=1gbit. no problem there
if i set it at 1fps it works better, app doesn't hang when running in 1024, but tilt/pan stops working ,. i could make a new html with wmv stream instead of jpg, and set it to 640x480 i guess. but is there anything that can be done about the delay on wmv stream?, it's like 10sek for me, very annoying when trying to tilt/pan.

I know, but there is not much that can be done about it. The video server intentionally buffers a bit, to improve compression (motion analysis) and the player does the same to cope with delayed / dropped frames.
