Port opened but still no connection
By: Anonymous User

Hello all,

I have a newbie connexion problem:
- I opened the appropriate port on my router (that is the port that I defined in Logisphere)
- I checked that my <hostname>:<port> is opened using http://canyouseeme.org/ , and it works
- With any of the Logisphere tests (Server, Picture or Cam), my browser returns the same error message: "Unable to connect"

By the way, all works fine when I use the localhost address

Does anybody have an idea on what's happening here ? Huh?

Thank you

Some routers are not able to route packets from the internal network back to the inside when adressing the external interface.
Things might be working fine from the internet, while you cannot access the 'real URL' from within your own network.

To solve this problem, you should
- let us know what URL you're using
- when it's supposed to be up (date, time and time zone)
- what router you're using

A simple way to verify your URLs can be reached from the internet it to check the 'Listed' checkbox before starting the web server.
If your URLs cannot be reached, you will get an error message.
If all is ok, you will see your camera listed in the

I just tried to "List" the camera, but it doesn't appear in the "Camera List" Cry

I'm using the following settings:
- 62.35.122.36:8456
- The camera will be on today (20060811, until 8PM GMT+1)
- The router I'm using is a Tecom AH4222

Not listed? Did you get an error message?
I can access your address without problems. I posted a popup on your screen Smile!

I found a site that has configuration instructions for many routers.

To configure access for LogiSphere, use the instructions for Apache and replace port 80 with the port you used in LogiSphere.
