IP addressable cameras
By: Anonymous User

I have 2 cameras at remote locations which are IP addressed. The cameras are hooked up directly to cable modems. I would like to have some software that will "pull" the video from the cameras and display them on a web page so I don't kill my upstream on the modem. Will logisphere allow me to do this or do the cameras need to be directly connected to the pc that is running the software?

LogiSphere 1.6.x does not support this - LogiSphere NG does.

While LogiSphere NG is not officially released yet, it's in productive use on many systems.

If you're interested, email me. You'll find my contact info in the Contact link on top of this page.

On the main form of LogiSphere NG, you need to add a device of type "Web Video" (by hitting the Add Camera button). Once the Web Video device is added, go to its config form. You have to specify the URL (or IP address and port) for your IP camera. Use the Cam URL button on the config form to do this. Other than that, it's pretty much the same as configuring any other camera.
