what should my hostname be?

i am checking for the cam on a DSL line attached to my router. the cam is on my laptop with my wireless card from verizon. 2 separate ways to access the internet.

it's sad to see that you just copy your email here and not my answer, it makes me think I wasted my time answering you...

my question is what should my host name be?
Once you click on 'Autohost' in the Web config form, your IP will be set to whatever you currently have (as seen from the internet).

Maybe your router does not support calls from within your own network.
Check MembersOnly / Redirector
to see if your camera can be reached from the internet.

To see the cam from within your network, use http://localhost:8080/

I also get an error message every so often to send the error to Microsoft and it shuts down the program.
If you run AbelCam as a service, it will be automatically restarted when problems occur.

To solve those problems, please proceed as in http://www.MultiCamServer.com/en/support
