Is it possible to connect to a webcam via Windows Media Player (File->Open URL->http://you_webcam_address ?
Which codecs must be installed and set for this?

See the samples provided with AbelCam. In there you'll find all the HTML code required to view the WMV stream.
To link to the Video Stream directly, either use
http://your.ip:your.port/current.asx
or
mms://your.ip:your.vserver.port

I'm running an Orbit mp on vista home premium and the logitech 11 drivers I can run everything except the WMV. when I try and configure any of the 8 or 7 profiles it turns my cam button from the green to that nice orange color and nothing works. If I run the audio in the on demained mode I can keep it from shutting down the cam and the WMV turns blue. I didn't try the WMV on the web page thought it would just kill the camera.

Well I went big and did away with vista and went back to xp! Guess what everything works great. if other have this problem and find a fix let me know.  |
