Abelcam 2.2.2 and Quickcam AF startup probs

I'm having trouble with starting the Abelcam as a service or even the program on startup with the resolution set to more than 320x240. It cant start the camera and just hangs the program. Can anyone shed any light on this? It has always been ok before on older Abelcam Versions and using the MP camera.
