Maybe you started AbelCam
as Service?
With the default configuration it does not show up on the desktop, and in the task list you can't kill it because it runs as SYSTEM.
Try stopping the service with the 'Stop Service' menu entry in the AbelCam/Tools start menu.
This won't hurt if it's not running.
