got everything working internally but having trouble getting the stream from the web. Introduced a portforward on my router, pointing any traffic coming in under that port to 8080. However, externally, I continue to receive connection refused. I saw some threads here about IPS (Im using VerizonFios) that block 8080 and to use 7070, but tried that and still no luck. Any ideas ?

When you check access from outside are you truly outside or are you inside pointing a browser at your outside IP? I ask because a lot of routers don't support that kind of "loopback" routing. Some do, some don't. Not familiar with your specific router.
I'm not on FIOS but FWIW I've not read any reports of them blocking traffic on any particular ports.
All I can really say is double check your port forwarding config for errors, and check your AbelCam Internet config. If you get all the right ports and IPs in all the right places I can assure you it'll just work...
