In fact, it's still showing in the Latest Topics list to the left of the page.
Generally speaking, webserver hits don't have much to do with CPU loading. It's more about camera settings. Remember that images are being captured from the camera continuously. If the software were shutting off capture when there was no web traffic, many features could not work and when a web visitor did appear there would be a huge lag while the cam driver initialized itself.
CPU load is managed by finding an appropriate combination of:
- Resolution
- Frame Rate
- Use or non-use of captions, overlays, effects
- Choice of Capture Interface (TyCapture, VideoCapX, VisionForge)
and also, to an extent:
- Model of camera
- Version of camera's driver
- (some cams are just CPU hogs, others not so much)
