Michael, I doubt that many users will have a use for your proposal.
Why don't you just add a index.html page which will take care of the redirection?..

I would like a feature to have the PTZ reset every X Minutes by choice.

Allow domain name for web server "Host name" field
It does not seem to be possible to put a FQDN into the "Host name" field of the Web Server (well, it is possible .. but it does not stick as it gets r ..
You may put a full host name into the host name field, hit 'Save' after changing it.
To avoid loosing it, don't check Autohost 'On Startup'

If I understand your question correctly then yes it is easily done. Simply turn Local Save on, Motion Detection off, and set the Save Interval to 30 s..
