Java apps won't work on hosting system
When I try to test the Java apps (Live webcam tilt/pan/zoom) on the computer running LogiSphere, the video does not show. It only shows the "logispher ..
Are you using the pages within wwwroot that came with LogiSphere, or are you using your own custom made page?
The applet has to be loaded from the sam..
I am using the pages that came with LogiSphere..
When viewing the pages on the hosting system, are you using http://localhost:8080 or http://bellnet.dyndns.org:8080 ?

I have tried both addresses. They do the same thing. What is the code trying to do when it is giving the "troubles reading" error?..
It's trying to read the web content.
I guess you have authentication enabled.
Read wwwroot/java/readme.txt and include the authentication in the app..
What authentication are you referring to? I do not have passwords enabled in the Logisphere application. I can view my video from the other systems on..

Port opened but still no connection

I have a newbie connexion problem:
- I opened the appropriate port on my router (that is the port that I defined in Logisphere)

2 Logitech Cams
I have two Logitech Cams, one Sphere and one Quickcam...
The quickcam replaces my old Philips cam. I never had problems with both webcams working tog ..
I am using a Sphere and a QuickCam 5000 on the same computer at the same time (with the LogiSphere version currently under development) and they work ..
Does not work for me - reinstallted both drivers, same problem. Contacted Logitech Support and received this answer (in German):

Problems with high resolution at high frame rates
I wanted to increse the videoresolution, but ran into some problems, if i change to 640x480 rgb or i430 (video input and output) LogiSphere.exe comsum ..
What framerates are you using?
To use bigger resolutions on the web pages, you need to change the html code...
btw, tryed the debug mode, only thing that looked wrong was a few 'cam not ready' when changing resolution. but i can e-mail the debug file if needed...

Now do a calculation image size x fps x 8 (to receive bits per second) and compare it wi..
Filesize=48kb*15*8 = 5760kbit, internetuploadspeed=1gbit. no problem there
if i set it at 1fps it works better, app doesn't hang when running in 10..

The LogiSphere Web Server can run without any camera connected to the system.
If you have a Logitech Sphere / Orbit, you can use the Tilt / Pan featu..
So is possible to encode/stream the video using Windows Media Encoder and use your software to TIlt/Pan the camera?

Yes, that is possible. The results are not very satisfying, as the Windows Media Server / Player adds quite a bit of a delay.

From what i saw it ..
Unless you have a very good reason not to buy from Logitech, not to buy from Logitech, I recommend the Logitech Orbit / Sphere..

I run a regular webserver and want to be able to run my cam site from it, but when I try none of my video streams will come up.

You could try useing iframes if the stream works with in the logisphere pages.
