AbelCam has been working great for me.
The only time I ever reboot on the webcam PC is when MS sends down an update patch.
I think a big problem with some other webcam software is memory leaks. You seem to have those plugged.

The pro version is definitely worth the 20 Euros

AbleCam features a simple chat.

using the chat page in the examples, you get your own online chat online within minutes.

the client loads the chat java applet and enters a nickname

the server view (your end) allows your to change your nickname anytime

closing this window will disable the chat feature
