Passwords

AbelCam uses Realms for Authentication.

if no passwords are definied, the realm does not require authentication.

user names are not required, but will be logged if provided

• AbelCam Main

  used if the server is protected

• AbelCam Camera

  used for pictures and streams

  if the camera password is equal to the main password, the main realm will be used instead

• AbelCam TiltPan

  used for camera moves

  if the tilt pan password is equal to the camera password, the camera realm will be used instead or

  if the tilt pan password is equal to the main password, the main realm will be used instead

Applets don't swallow the passwords too well - if you use it, don't set the tilt pan password or some functionality will be lost.

Administration

The administration interface is available as soon as a admin password has been entered.

The admin password is accepted in all realms: make sure you change the default password before you go public!
